Court nullifies NFF election, sacks chairman and his executives

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau state today October 23rd nullified the September 30th general election of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, which saw Mr Amaju Pinnick elected as the President of the NFF.

Delivering his judgement in the case brought against the NFF leadership by some unhappy members of the association, Justice Ambrose Allagoa insisted that his court ruling must be obeyed by the affected parties. He stated that an order he gave earlier on September 19th where he restrained the members from holding the election congress was disobeyed, that this one must be respected

“I have set aside all the proceedings and decisions of the Warri Extra Ordinary meeting of the 20th September and the Elective Congress of 30th September which were direct contravention of the orders of this court as granted on the 19th September. Nobody should foist on the court a complete case of hopelessness so that the principles of law and justice can be upheld. Its not enough to say that the order of court was wrongly made, no matter how unorthodox, its subsisting orders, unless set aside, remains law and must be respected” he said.

Meanwhile the NFF leadership say they will appeal the judgement

Wande Coal: Until Thy Album Come?

Just like the Samuel Beckett’s 1953 play Waiting For Godot, we have been waiting for Wande Coal.
Wande Coal first wowed us in 2006 when he featured in D’Banj’s Rundown/Funk You Up album in singles like Why Me which happened to be a national anthem. As a member of the defunct Mo’hits empire, he played a striking role in the CV album and his single Ololufe can be said to be one of the greatest love songs of our time (if you are below 30).
In 2009, Wande released his debut album Mushin 2 Mo’hits with singles like Bumper2Bumper which was raving hot, and on every playlist the M2M was on repeat.
Wande’s M2M undoubtedly can be said to be one of the most, if not the most sold out commercial albums in the history of the Nigerian music industry. The debut got Coal carting away with 5 headies in the 2010 edition of Hip Hop World Awards.
Wande enjoyed a massive hit and this got him several features and he was like the “hook master”.
But after sometime, Wande went cold and our ears longed for him. There were hear says that Wande had a fall out with his Mo’hits bosses. Nobody danced to Bumper2Bumper anymore. Something new was needed and nothing was forth coming.
But before we could say Jack Robinson, the ebony dude was back with Been Long You Saw Me to address his absence in the industry. And other singles followed.
After the Mo’hits breakup there were reports that Wande would be releasing his sophomore album in June 2013 under the Mavin records. But later on, Wande parted ways with Mavin.
It’s almost 2015, close to 6 years after the debut and we are still waiting.
Godot never came, we hope Wande comes with an album before we get too bored.

“No Future Collaboration With Davido At All” – Wizkid Speaks

“No Future Collaboration With Davido At All” – Wizkid Speaks

ARE YOU ON BBM? Join Our BBM Channel For Exclusive Music & News Updates C00321B0C

Honestly, wizkid is the one beefing davido.

Wizkid doesn’t seem to want to have anything to want to ever do with Davido again and he seems pretty serious about it. Despite Davido congratulating Wizkid on the release of his second album which was supposed to spell down their alleged beef and open way for a possible future collaboration between two of Nigeria’s biggest artists… Wizkid has stood his ground and revealed that there will be nothing like that.

Wizkid who spoke with TheNET on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, was asked about a possible collaboration with Davido and he didn’t say more than replying tersely: ‘There is nothing like that.’

While a lot of fans pray that these two would let go of their feud and make good music together, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be happening anytime soon.
